Cloud 9 Wedding: Kathryn & Nick at The Country Club at Castle Pines

Greetings from the newest member of the Cloud 9 Weddings & Papers Team! I could not be more excited about the summer wedding season ahead. So here is my wedding story…

Being a Corporate Event Planner, when it came to planning my own wedding last year the idea was more than exciting. I was well aware of my desire to control the planning process, but the thought of not being able to fully enjoy our wedding was something I was determined to avoid. Like any other Bride, you get wrapped up in the details, making everyone else happy and doing everything in your power to make this perfect day a reality, so I decided it would be in by best interest to seek help! Not the kind of help you are thinking, but rather the expertise, guidance and trust that comes with hiring a Wedding Coordinator.

I was introduced to Ann Marlin with Cloud 9 through a mutual friend and felt an instant connection, knowing someone else could execute all of the details, leaving me worry free! After a few meetings, mock-up and walk-through come early April I knew I was in good hands.

Fast forward to May 2013, I turned everything over to Ann and spent the last few weeks excited with anticipation. In fact, the day of the Rehearsal Dinner and getting ready on our Wedding Day my mom, sister and a few of my friends who know me best kept asking if I was okay…they had never seen me quite so relaxed!

The outcome was a beautiful wedding in the perfect setting with a Colorado sunset to remember! Focusing on spring colors to highlight the natural beauty of the views in Castle Pines, our wedding was simply elegant with all white tables splashed with shades of purple and pops of lime green. Guests danced the night away to the unique and lively sounds of Maestro Hughes under the light of bright hanging lanterns in the tent. To end the night with a small surprise, we exited through a line of sparklers held by friends and family, boarding a helicopter and taking off at the #1 Tee Box of the Golf Course into the dark night sky! The best day of my life!
