Fun Denver Tours for Your Guests

Denver is often a great place for a destination wedding with the mountains so close and fun activities in Denver.   We wanted to fill you in on some of the fun attractions for your guests to take part in during their stay.  We suggest giving your guests welcome bags at the hotel and filling those bags with all things Colorado.  Our favorites are bottled water because of the altitude, Chapstick, mini sunscreen, Hammond’s Candy or Enstroms toffee, and a list of fun attractions.  With that list, we always suggest adding a few cheaper outdoorsy activities with some fun tours or your favorite museums.  Here are a few of our favorite tours in Denver or not more then 15 minutes away.

Hammond’s Candy Factory

For a cheaper and kid friendly place, Hammond’s is great because first of all if is free, you get to dress like a candy baker and see how if is all done.  You, of course cannot leave with out trying some of the delicious candy you watched them make.

Coors Brewery Tour

Take a tour through the Coors Brewery and learn the insides and out of how Coors Beer is made. Make sure to come thirsty because at the end of the tour everyone gets to try the beer.

Denver Mint with the Denver Inside and Out Tour

When visiting new cities, we always like the inside scoop and a little bit of adventure to get to know the city.  We recently found out about the Denver Inside Out Walking Tour.  The tour takes you on a trek through downtown, where you will get to know the city and get to solve the mystery of the Denver Mint Bank Robbery in 1922.  Fun and educational!

Molly Brown House

If many of your guest have kids with them, the Molly Brown house is a fun tour to take you back in time a bit.  They offer tours of the house to learn all about Molly Brown and her life in the early 1900s and are now offering tours dedicated to her experiences on the Titanic.

Banjo Billy’s Bus Tours

With larger groups ready to see the city, Banjo Billy’s Bus Tours is a great option for a fun-filled day of seeing the city.  The tour takes you on an old tricked out school bus that looks like a traveling hillbilly shack.  During the ride, you will hear ghost and crime stories and a bit of history about Denver.
